Torta Caprese

I am running out of flour so I tried to explore different areas.

I got this recipe from the French influencer Noholita and nobody was disappointed. It is Gluten Free, flour free but again not calories free, so try to stop after the first slice!

So, if you still have eggs, chocolate, sugar and almond powder you can make it!


250 g dark chocolate

125g almond powder

125 g flaked almonds (optional)

170g salted butter (room temperature)

5 eggs

200 g sugar

icing sugar for the deco


Separate yolks from egg whites.

Melt he dark chocolate in the microwaves.

Mix butter, yolks, 100g sugar with an electric whisk (or in your mixer).

Then add the chocolate to this mixture, then the almonds.

Whisk the egg whites, when you see a foam appeared add 100 g of sugar and continue to whisk up to thick peaks.

Finish incorporating and folding gently the egg whites to the chocolate mixture.

Transfer into a round tin (24-26 cm) with baking sheet and bake at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.

Let it cool down completely and serve with a scoop of ice cream or crème fraiche!
