Homemade Nutella


I used to be a Nutella’s addict, this is why I try not be have any pot in the house or it’s gone after 2 days!

A lot of bad things have been said about it, especially the fact that it contains palm oil and a lot of sugar. So why not making your own, and make it healthier in 5 minutes? 3, 2, 1 Goooo!


  • 200g Hazelnuts butter ( I really like the meridian Brand here )
  • 200g whole milk
  • 30g skimmed milk powder
  • 150 g milk chocolate (good quality)

1- Bring the milk and milk powder to simmer.

2- Melt the chocolate in the microwaves.

3- In the food processor, mix all the ingredients together.

Keep it in the fridge for a maximum of 10 days. It seems to be a little bit runny on the photos but it is because I just made it. When it rests a bit in the fridge you will have the consistency of a paste.

Et voilà!

There is a large choice with Meridian, you can choose the smooth hazelnuts paste, or the crunchy one if you prefer.

I also have been advised by my friend Lisa who is naturopath in France to mix different nuts butter. (Cashew, almond butters)

There is also a healthier version where you can replace the milk chocolate by a sugar free chocolate, in this case you will add 40g of honey.
